ITINERARY
Day 1 : Lima
You will be picked up from the airport
and driven to your hostel or hotel in
Miraflores (selected from our list shown
below).

Day 2 : Lima - Arequipa
(B)
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hostel
or hotel for a guided city tour, which
will include a visit to downtown Lima;
the Cathedral, built in 1758; the temple
of San Francisco, which is a masterpiece
of baroque architecture; and the Gold
Museum, where you will observe pre-Hispanic
pieces of art made of gold, silver and
copper. During this tour you will be
able to observe colonial, baroque,
neoclassic, and neo-colonial style
buildings, some of which are about 350
years old. Each building contains unique
pieces of art from different regions of
Peru and the world.
In the afternoon, we will take you to
the airport of Lima in order to take a morning flight from Lima
to Arequipa. Upon your arrival, we will
drive you to your hostel or hotel in
downtown (selected from our list shown
below).
Day 3 : Arequipa

In the morning, you will be picked up from your
hostel or hotel to
start a guided city tour, which will
include a visit to the Monastery of
Santa Catalina, founded in 1580; the
Main Square; and the Cathedral, founded
in 1656; as well as the San Ignacio
Church. This tour will take
about three hours; you will have the
remainder of the day to walk around
downtown. You will stay overnight at
your hostel or hotel.
Day 4 : Arequipa – Chivay
(Colca Canyon)

At 7:30a.m. you will be picked
you up from your hotel to start
the first leg of the Colca
Canyon tour. On the way to
Chivay, we will stop in Pampa
Cañahuas to observe vicuñas (relatives
of the llama) in their natural
habitat as well as llamas,
alpacas, native birds, and the
snowcapped mountains surrounding
the area. In Chivay, you will
enjoy lunch at a local
restaurant and then taken you to
your hostel or hotel. After a
short rest, you will be able to
enjoy the hot springs of the
town or your hotel depending on
your hostel or hotel selection (selected
from our list shown below).
Day 5 : Chivay (Colca Canyon) -
Arequipa

At 7:00a.m. you will picked up from your
hotel to start a guided tour through the
Colca Canyon, the deepest canyon in the
world. The road will take you to the
point called Condor Cross, where you
will be able to observe the amazing
Andean Condor flying in its natural
habitat. After enjoying its beautiful
flight and the amazing landscape, we
will go back to Chivay. On the way to
Chivay you will visit the Andean town of
Maca. After lunch in Chivay, you will
return to Arequipa, where you will have
time to rest or wander around downtown
and then stay overnight at your hostel
or hotel.
Day 6 : Arequipa – Cusco
(B)
You will take a morning flight
from Arequipa to Cusco. Upon
your arrival, we will drive you
to your hostel or hotel located
in downtown (selected from our
list shown below).
Day 7 : Cusco
(B)
At 2:00 p.m. you will start your guided
group City Tour. Your bilingual guide
will take you to the Cathedral of Cusco,
founded in 1669.
After that, you will visit the Temple of
Qoricacancha or the Convent of Santa
Catalina to observe Inca and Colonial
buildings.
Next, you will visit the Inca ruins of
Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and
Tambomachay. The tour will end at about
6:00p.m.
Day 8 : Cusco – Sacred
Valley – Aguas Calientes
(B)
At 9:00a.m. you will start your
guided group Sacred Valley of
the Incas Tour, which will take
you through the amazing Urubamba
Valley to the marketplace and
ruins of Pisac. Afterwards, you
will stop at a local restaurant
to enjoy lunch (not included in
the package) and will then visit
the native town of Ollantaytambo
and its ruins. After the tour,
you will take the backpacker train to Aguas
Calientes, where you will stay
the night at the hostel or hotel
of your choice (selected from
our list shown below).
Today a two hour guided tour of Machu
Picchu will show you why it was voted
one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
After your tour, you will have plenty of
time to hike the Huayna Picchu Mountain
or just wander around at your leisure.
In the afternoon, one or two hours
before your train departure, you should
take the bus down to Aguas Calientes,
where you will take the backpacker train
to Poroy.* Upon arrival in
Poroy, you will be driven to your hostel
or hotel.
*If there are no train tickets available
for the listed train (sometimes tickets
are sold out several months in advance),
you will take the backpacker train from
Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo, you will be
driven to your hotel in Cusco. If this
issue arises, we will inform you within
one month prior to your departure date.
Day 10 : Cusco
(B)
You will have the day to relax,
wander around or have a private
guided tour of one of the
tourist attractions of Cusco. You
will stay overnight at your
hostel or hotel.
Day 11 : Cusco – Lima
(B)
Today you will be picked up from your
hostel or hotel and taken to Cusco’s
airport for your flight to Lima. End of
our services.
