ITINERARY
Day 1 : Arequipa – Chivay (Colca
Canyon)

At 7:30a.m. you will be picked you up
from your hotel to start the first leg
of the Colca Canyon tour. On the way to
Chivay, we will stop in Pampa Cañahuas
to observe vicuñas (relatives of the
llama) in their natural habitat as well
as llamas, alpacas, native birds, and
the snowcapped mountains surrounding the
area. In Chivay, you will enjoy lunch at
a local restaurant and then taken you to
your hostel or hotel. After a short rest,
you will be able to enjoy the hot
springs of the town or your hotel
depending on your hostel or hotel
selection (selected from our list shown
below).

Day 2 : Chivay (Colca Canyon) –
Cabanaconde – The Oasis

Early in the morning we will pick you up
from your hotel and from there we will
take you to the town of Cabanaconde
where the trek starts. The trek will
start at San Miguel Pampa. The hike will
be downhill and in about 7 hours you
will arrive to your campsite located in
San Galle, also called the Oasis. On the
way you will pass by the San Juan of
Chuccho, Cosnirhua, and Malata villages.
A lunch box will be provided for the
trek. Once at the Oasis you will enjoy
dinner and camp.
Day 3 : The Oasis – Cabanaconde -
Chivay (Colca Canyon) - Arequipa
(B), (L)
At about 4:00a.m. you will start hiking
to Cabanaconde. This hike will be all
the way up and it will take about 3
hours. Once in Cabanaconde, you will
enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you
will be taken to the Condor Cross where
you will be able to observe condors
flying around. Next, you will be taken
to the town of Chivay to enjoy lunch and
then to Arequipa. On the way to Chivay,
you will visit the town of Maca and if
time allows the hot springs of La
Calera. End of our services.
